ARTURIA ANALOG LAB PURCHASED SOUNDS UPGRADE
Expect to pay out the ass to upgrade to the next version when it comes out.Analog Lab 2 is a powerful yet painless way of accessing a sought-after selection of sounds from all 17 of Arturia’s authentic-sounding virtual instruments as a single application. If you’re looking for those older synth sounds but don’t care as much about working with the exact interface, I think there are better products out there for you.Įdit: also, as mentioned in another comment, Arturia doesn’t have a great upgrade program. I just think their products are more for people who want to play around with the exact replicas of older synths. Arturia still makes great products and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
It’s quickly become one of my favorite synths.Īgain, this is just my opinion. I think Diva alone can probably create most of the sounds you’d get from Analog Lab, but with the flexibility to radically change the sounds as well. They’re pretty focused on older 70s and 80s synth sounds, but with the modern updates we’ve come to know and expect with digital synthesizers. They’re both extremely well designed, have very accurate sounds of the era, and are insanely flexible. I’d really recommend people go in the direction of U-He Diva and Repro instead. While I think the VI Collection and Analog Lab are both really good values, especially at discounted prices, I don’t think they’re what a lot of modern musicians are looking for. Good for preset surfing and finding a cool stuff, but not good for any actual sound design. It’s good for getting a sound to fit better with the mix, but it doesn’t really let you transform any of the patches in a major way. I think they give you 8 parameters for each sound. It’s important to note that unless you buy their VI Collection of the actual synthesizers (or any of them individually) you only have access to tweaking the sounds in Analog Lab.
ARTURIA ANALOG LAB PURCHASED SOUNDS FULL
Everything is well tagged and classified, so narrowing down from the full set to the specific kind of sound you want is pretty easy. It has a pretty good interfacing for navigating sounds. Analog Lab gives you a massive number of presets to browse through with sounds from over 20 classic synths. I think Arturia is pretty fantastic and have done a reasonably great job at recreating and digitalizing some of the classic synths of the 70s and 80s.
